Diary of Saint Maria Faustina – Divine Mercy in My Soul – Deluxe Burgundy Leather

The Book that Sparked the Divine Mercy Movement

The Diary chronicles God’s message given through St. Faustina to the world to turn to His mercy. In it, we are reminded to trust the Divine Mercy in Jesus and seek His forgiveness. And as Christ is merciful, so, too, are we instructed to be merciful to others. The message of Divine Mercy has become an integral part of Catholic faith, including the celebration of the Feast of Divine Mercy on the Sunday after Easter.

The beloved Diary of St. Faustina presented here in a most elegant leather-bound edition. The beautiful writings of the ‘Secretary of Mercy’ printed on onion paper with gilded edges and a ribbon marker with 20 pages of color photographs make a lovely and compact edition.

“My daughter, be diligent in writing down every sentence I tell you concerning My mercy, because this is meant for a great number of souls who will profit from it. -Jesus to St.” -Jesus to Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska (Diary entry 1142)

Diary of St Faustina – Deluxe Burgundy Leather

Shortly before the outbreak of World War II, a simple, uneducated, young Polish nun, Saint Maria Faustina, receives a special call. Jesus tells her, “I am sending you with My mercy to the people of the whole world. I do not want to punish mankind, but I desire to heal it, pressing it to My merciful Heart.” (Diary entry 1588) Jesus also tells her to record every word concerning His message of mercy. “You are the secretary of My Mercy. I have chosen you for that office in this and the next life.” (Diary entry 1605) The diary of St Faustina provides insight to her special call with Jesus.

These words of Jesus (set in bold type for emphasis) are found in the Diary of St. Maria Faustina Kowalska, which chronicles Sr. Faustina’s great experience of Divine Mercy in her soul and her mission to share that mercy with the world. Though she died in obscurity in 1938, at the age of 33, Sr. Faustina was hailed by Pope John Paul II as “the great apostle of Divine Mercy in our time.” On April 30, 2000, the Pope canonized her as St. Faustina, saying that the message of Divine Mercy she shared is urgently needed at the dawn of the new millennium. Over 800,000 copies of the Diary have been sold worldwide.
