August 9, 2014 – The Texas Panhandle
The Divine Mercy received a warm welcome by a crowd of 5000 in the popular XIT Rodeo Parade held annually in Dalhart, Texas. Ed and Nan Weber along with family and friends had an incredible experience with their parade entry. Leading the way was a large Divine Mercy for America banner carried by two of Ed and Nan’s grandsons. The banner was greeted with cheers and applause along the way.
Next followed the ‘Mercy Mobile’ carrying Ed and Nan and behind them a beautiful float full of children seated around a life size image of The Divine Mercy. To top things off a young girl dressed as Saint Faustina was seated at a desk at the foot of the image acting as if she was writing in a diary. Hundreds along the parade route gratefully received holy cards of The Divine Mercy that were being handed out along the way.
This is a great example of sharing The Divine Mercy with everyone in a public setting. Jesus requested, “By means of this Image I shall be granting many graces to souls; so, let every soul have access to it” and that is exactly what this group of faithful Catholics took to heart in Dalhart!
About the Divine Mercy for America banner Ed commented, “It is such a statement on what our nation and the world needs today.”
